Paris, 1863 - Paris, 1935. サン=トロぺの港 The Port of Saint-Tropez. シニャックは彼とともに新印象主義の護持とその理論の普及を行なったスーラの死によって大きな衝撃を受け、その翌年の1892年、友人の画家クロスの勧めによってヨットによる地中海巡航の旅に出た。 彼はこの旅行中、まだ小さな漁港であったサン=トロペを発見し、以後10年ほどは、こことパリを往復しつつ制作を行なうこととなる。 この期間中、シニャックの芸術傾向は次第に著しい変化を見せる。 まず構図の線的な厳格さが和らぎ、色彩の面では新印象主義絵画に特有の描点の粒が大きくなる。
