Lolly-Madonna XXX (a.k.a. The Lolly-Madonna War) is a 1973 film directed by Richard C. Sarafian. The film was co-written by Rodney Carr-Smith and Sue Grafton, based on the 1969 novel The Lolly-Madonna War by Grafton. The movie was filmed in rural Union County, Tennessee.
Hubley appeared in a mix of supporting and lead roles through the 1970s. In 1973, she played the title character in Lolly-Madonna XXX, also known as The Lolly Madonna War, around whom the story revolved. She co-starred in the 1979 film Hardcore. She appeared briefly in Escape from New York (1981).
Goodfellow's tryout landed her in the film, later to be re-dubbed Lolly-Madonna XXX. It starred Rod Steiger and Robert Ryan as patriarchs of two rival families in the Tennessee hills. Their feud turns into all-out war when the daughter of one family, Sister E (played by Goodfellow), is assaulted by two sons from the other clan.
