Há 3 dias · A Hempstead County cattle farmer lost 19 cows to a lightning strike on Wednesday (5-22). The farm is located off US 371 east of Blevins. According to Hempstead County Emergency Services Coordinate Cathy Aaron, the lighting strike came around 5pm. Apparently lightning hit a tree and traveled down to the ground under the tree electrocuting the cows.
