As for who could be introduced first, I think maybe John, especially if they use the original Alan Moore version of the character. The anarchist magician who fights demons on the reg. I think the Hellblazer version could fit well for adaptation in this universe, since that version was pretty horror oriented at times, and The Batman definitely had a horror movie feel to it.
