Friesland (/ ˈ f r iː z l ə n d /, Dutch: [ˈfrislɑnt] ⓘ; official West Frisian: Fryslân [ˈfrislɔ̃ːn] ⓘ), historically and traditionally known as Frisia, named after the Frisians, is a province of the Netherlands located in the country's northern part.
