Há 4 dias · Edward Sackville was the younger brother of the fifth Earl of Dorset and in June 1675 he took a twenty-one-year lease of the house from Josias Thompson. (fn. 21) Sackville was Thompson's first tenant and details of his upholstery furnishings are found in a bill from Pat Barrett dated June 1675.
