In addition to the unendowed public schools mentioned above, there were five infant schools, one of them in Sowe.
Há 3 dias · A free grammar school for boys was founded in 1680, by Sir Samuel, who bequeathed £500 for the erection of a school-house, a rent-charge of £80 for the master, and another of £20 for the usher. The same benefactor bequeathed £500 for repairing the church.

St Chad’s Roman Catholic Boys School left Birmingham by train on Saturday 26 August, the day all schools in evacuation areas in England and Scotland had been ordered to reopen to prepare for a nationwide rehearsal the following Monday.
