Há 5 dias · The medieval manor-house, called Rodmarton Place in the 18th century, was built south-east of the church in the early 15th century, and with later additions of the 16th and 17th centuries occupied three sides of a quadrangle.

It was given a red brick façade and internally refitted in the mid 18th century, when additions were also made at the back. At the same time an archway was erected in front using 17th-century materials, possibly from another building.

The building which existed in the 1720s was apparently of 16th- or early 17th-century date; its entrance front, which faced south, had a three-bayed centre of freestone with transomed windows, gabled brick wings apparently with sash windows, and tall randomly placed chimneystacks.
