Há 3 dias · William Lamb, 2nd Viscount Melbourne, was born in 1779 in Melbourne House, Piccadilly, but must have spent part of his boyhood in Melbourne House, Whitehall. He was educated at Eton and Trinity College, Cambridge. In 1804 he was called to the Bar, but in the following year, on the death of his elder brother, gave up the law for politics.
