Anglo saxons wouldve used Futhorc, not elder futhark, if you want to do something they wouldve used. ᚠᚩᚱᚦᚷᚪᛝ. I'd personally use "forðweardnes" since it only means progress (whereas forðgang can have some less pleasant meanings).
