Bram Stoker nasceu Abraham Stoker, em Dublin, Irlanda, sendo um dos sete filhos de Abraham Stoker e Charlotte Matilda Blake Thornley Stoker. Em 1864, Stoker se matriculou na Universidade de Dublin – fundada pela Rainha Elizabeth I em 1952 -, onde recebeu um diploma de matemática.
