Among his many honours, Sir David Cox has received numerous honorary doctorates. He is in particular Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Neuchâtel and is an honorary fellow of St John's College, Cambridge, and of the Institute of Actuaries. He has been awarded the Guy medals in Silver (1961) and Gold (1973) of the Royal Statistical Society.
