5 de fev. de 2024 · Guido Verbeck, PhD, chair of the College of Science and Mathematics‘ Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, has been named to the 2023 Class of Fellows for the National Academy of Inventors (NAI). Verbeck’s inventions include portable mass spectrometry and chemical sensors which can be used outside the lab to detect harmful chemicals.
Verbeck is an absolute blast to have teaching analytical chemistry. He definitely knows his stuff and actually makes learning quadrupole theory enjoyable (or as enjoyable as quad theory can actually be). Tests are take-home and will make you contemplate drinking HF, but you learn a whole lotta stuff about things.
