While her sisters, Suzy and Jimmie, are in tears over their ill father, Ethel shows no emotion at all. He dies the next day. 1938-1939: Judy's movie career is now blooming. 29 de mai. de 2012 · This is actually the second biopic made of Garland's life; the earlier effort was made in 1978 and titled "Rainbow." I think "Me and My Shadows" is easily the superior picture, with an overview of Garland's entire life and career, where "Rainbow" only covered the years from 1922 through 1939.

I don’t know why it took me so long to finally watch Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows, but I’m glad I did. ( Thanks, Film Twitter!) This is truly one of the best and most entertaining Hollywood biopics ever made — and what makes this film so special are the tour-de-force performances by both Judy Davis and Tammy Blanchard sharing the role of Judy Garland throughout the film.
