  4. The thinking was that she and Bailey could sing in the same key. She submitted the songs to Maurice White and didn't get a call back for a while. Eventually, White called her to his office and told her they weren't going to record the songs.....but that they wanted to sign her and she would perform them on her own album with EW&F's backing.
