4 Stars. More of an adventure than a mystery. Several of the 50+ short stories about Sherlock Holmes and his faithful assistant Dr. Watson fit into that category. It's a good one and again highlights Doyle's enjoyable writing style. In the first page we are introduced to the protagonist - Charles Milverton, London's "king of all the blackmailers."
