15 de ago. de 2016 · Elizabeth Throckmorton. Elizabeth “Bess” Throckmorton was born the 16th of April 1565, to Sir Nicholas Throckmorton and Anne Carew. Nicholas Throckmorton was a diplomat and politician during the reign of Queen Elizabeth and was instrumental in the relationship between Elizabeth and her cousin Mary, Queen of Scots.
I grew up in Falmouth, Maine, and completed my undergraduate education at Bowdoin College. 24 de fev. de 2024 · Her FindAGrave memorial has some interesting text which bears further investigation, but has no sources and lists her as Carew: ...Some genealogies online indicate she was Elizabeth (Carew) Pierce, daughter of Richard Carew and Bridget (Chudleigh) Carew, and this appears to concur with a marriage in International Marriage Index in 1608.
