The Florida legislature elevated the College to university status, and in 1953, Florida A&M College became Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. DMSAS is submitting design development documents for a new dorm at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, Florida (FAMU). Drawing inspiration from FAMU’s historic buildings and the Georgian style found on many American campuses, the 500-bed facility will also include faculty offices and retail space.
