By July 2003, Bachman left The Guess Who with singer Burton Cummings, only to form a new project called, Bachman Cummings. In 2004, Bachman helped Kalan Porter on his debut album, 219 Days . He reportedly suggested that Kalan do a drone on the violin during "In Spite of It All".
