The family musical act consisted of nine siblings: Olympia, Leon, Charmaine, James, Edmund, Ricky, Angie, Pat, and Foster. They were discovered by Fred Astaire’s manager, Lou Brown, who saw the family performing at a talent show in Watts, Los Angeles.
