4 de fev. de 2013 · "Souls at Sea" - from 1937 - may not be his Cooper's significant film but it is a most impressive one and he oozes screen presence in every scene. Directed by the redoubtable Henry Hathaway and co-starring George Raft ( in one of his best roles), this is a top notch seafaring adventure with a good story,some thundering action and lavish production values.

The 1937 adventure-drama Souls at Sea teams up Gary Cooper and George Raft, two of the biggest tough guy actors of the time period. The story’s hard to describe without going into spoilers, but I’ll give it my best shot.
Cooper and Raft save lives during a sea tragedy in this story about slave trade on the high seas in 1842.
