13 de fev. de 2018 · The Royal Mausoleum houses the tomb and remains of Queen Victoria – now the second-longest serving British Monarch in history – and her husband, Prince Albert. It closed in 2007 after the Grade I-listed building was declared structurally unsound due to flooding; the mausoleum sits in marshy land at Frogmore, and moisture has seeped into the fabric of the building, damaging it.
Her coffin was later buried at the Royal Burial Ground, Frogmore, Windsor Great Park. No orders for court mourning were issued but the King and Queen, and members of their Households, observed family mourning for one week.
