Roger Maris compiled a career batting average of .260 with 275 home runs and 851 RBI in his 1463-game career with the Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Athletics, New York Yankees and St. Louis Cardinals. He began playing during the 1957 season and last took the field during the 1968 campaign. Maris was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009.

Roger Eugene Maris (September 10, 1934 – December 14, 1985) was a baseball player for the Cleveland Indians, Kansas City Athletics, New York Yankees, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He was named the Most Valuable Player in the American League in 1960 and 1961.
Roger founded Maris Distributing Company, an Anheuser-Busch distributorship, in 1967 with his brother Rudy, which he operated until his death in 1985.
