I am currently University Reader in Business History and Strategy at the Said Business School, a Fellow of Brasenose College, and Co-Director of the Global History of Capitalism Project in the Oxford Centre for Global History within the History Faculty.
Despite having a history that traces all the way back to the 1200s, Brasenose is an incredibly progressive and modern college. Brasenose was among the first of the Oxford colleges to become mixed gender, and the student body has a representative (or representatives) for Women*, welfare issues, charities, diversities & equality, and environment & ethics.
Brasenose College funds graduate studentships currently totalling around £270,000 per annum. Some of these studentships are awarded in conjunction with the Clarendon Fund (for overseas students), and others with a range of departments and faculties for UK and EU students. The exact subjects to be funded are determined each year.
