The goal was clear: to win the world championships in Formula 1 and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The F1 title was won in 1969 (with a Ford engine), and in Endurance the World Championship for Makes title was won in 1973, an achievement won after two 24 Hour victories (in 1972-1973).
2 de mar. de 2016 · The 1949 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans was a milestone in many respects. This seventeenth running of the race marked its rebirth after a decade-long hiatus due to World War II. It also saw the beginning of the Ferrari legend as Luigi Chinetti and Lord Selsdon drove the 166 MM to victory on the marque’s début appearance.
