  1. MUSIC / Others / Studio Album BECK-OLA. Beck-Ola, released in 1969, was the second album from the Jeff Beck Group. Featuring Beck on guitar, Ronnie Wood on bass, Rod Stewart on vocals, Nicky Hopkins on piano and organ, and Tony Newman on drums, the album, along with it’s predecessor Truth, is widely regarded as laying the foundations of Heavy Metal.

  2. In May 1969, the Jeff Beck Group embarked on their fourth U.S. tour, this time with Hopkins as a full-fledged member. The tour went smoothly, Beck-Ola was received extremely well, reaching No. 15 on the Billboard 200 album chart, [citation needed] but it was reported that there was now terrible in-fighting within the band.
