The College Chapel dates back to the end of the 13th century and stands at the heart of our ancient College as a witness to Christian worship over almost 750 years. Today the Chapel is home to a lively and diverse Christian community which continues this faithful offering of worship with daily services during term time.

Our College newsletter “Merton Magpie” keeps staff and students updated on the key events of the term. Staff use the wide array of excellent facilities provided by the College including the gym, the sports ground and pavilion as well as the library, the chapel and other resources.
Every academic staff member and student belong to a house. A house is led by the Head of House, who is responsible for the overall wellbeing of all students in the house. Every student is informed of their house name upon registration, and they will belong to the same house during the whole duration of their time at Merton College London.
