Lincoln College is situated in the heart of the city and is one of Oxford’s most attractive and intimate medieval colleges. With its two principal quadrangles, glorious chapel, 15th-century dining hall, and recently-refurbished medieval kitchen, Lincoln gives visitors a real taste of Oxford collegiate life.
Although founded in 1427 Lincoln College is only Oxford's ninth oldest college. Its full title included a reference to Saint Mary which was unfortunate given two other colleges now New and Oriel respectively were originally known as St. Mary's.
