6 de set. de 2010 · I would suggest making contact with the genealogist of the Order of the Bath, but the position is currently vacant following the death, last month, of Sir Peter Gwynn-Jones, the last incumbent. Perhaps R ADM Iain Henderson CB CBE DL the Registrar and Secretary of the Order could be the way to go to find your answer.
On its completion in 1929 the painting was generously presented to the Order of the Bath by the artist (although he had originally wanted three thousand guineas for it). The picture was accepted by the Great Master (the Duke of Connaught) on behalf of the King, who commanded that it be hung in the East Corridor of the First Floor at Buckingham Palace.

The History of The Most Honourable Order of the Bath. The second highest order of chivalry in England the title of the Order is late medieval in origin, it arose from the ritual washing (inspired by the ritual of baptism), a symbol of spiritual purification, followed by a night of prayer and meditation before the Knights of the Bath attended the mass and then receive there accolade.
