Before this time however there had been two bishops suffragan of Derby whilst the town was still within the Diocese of Southwell. The bishop's seat ( cathedra ) or see is located in the City of Derby at Derby Cathedral – formerly the parish church of All Saints, which was elevated to cathedral status in 1927. [2]

Ronald Alfred Beddoes (14 September 2012 – 1 November 2000) was an Anglican Priest . He was born on 14 September 1912, educated at St Chad's College, Durham and ordained deacon in 1936 and priest in 1937. [1] He was President of the Durham Union for Easter term of 1936. [2]
