World's Greatest Dad works best when it presents itself as a jab at the phoniness of people in the wake of unfortunate events. Daryl Sabara's Kyle is so abhorrently and despicably obnoxious that, you gotta admit, getting his came as a pleasant thing as a viewer! No reason to feel moved. So when the phoniness came about, you were slightly put off.
