Die Ringling Brothers erwarben den Barnum & Bailey Circus 1907 von Baileys Witwe und betrieben ihn zunächst unter der ursprünglichen Bezeichnung weiter. Erst mit der Fusion 1919 verschmolzen auch die beiden Namen – zum Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus.
