Charlton Heston, nome d'arte di John Charles Carter (Evanston, 4 ottobre 1923 – Beverly Hills, 5 aprile 2008), è stato un attore, regista e attivista statunitense, noto interprete di colossal d'argomento biblico-storico, premio Oscar al miglior attore nel 1960 per Ben-Hur, nonché attore simbolo di molti film della fantascienza impegnata, tra la fine degli anni '60 e i primi anni '70.
Acteur, réalisateur et producteur américain, Charlton Heston débute très jeune sur les planches et obtient un premier rôle au cinéma en 1941.
