  2. 13 de jul. de 2022 · Lady Margaret Harley was a member of the aristocracy in British Isles. Lady Margaret Cavendish Harley was born on the 11th February 1714/15. (The Old Time Calendar started the New Year on the 1st March 1715.) She was the daughter of Sir. Edward Harley MP, 2nd Earl of Oxford, Earl Mortimer and his wife, Lady Henrietta Cavendish Holles.

  3. Their daughter, Lady Henrietta Cavendish Holles (1694-1755), inherited the bulk of the Cavendish estates after litigation. She married Edward Harley, 2nd Earl of Oxford (1689-1741). When their daughter, Lady Margaret Cavendish Harley, was married in 1743 to William Bentinck, 2nd Duke of Portland (1709-1762), a considerable quantity of the Cavendish papers passed into the Portland Collection.

  4. John Holles, 1st Duke of Newcastle married Lady Margaret Cavendish and they had one child and heir, Lady Henrietta Cavendish-Holles (1694–1755). In 1710 the Duke purchased Wimpole from Charles Robartes, only to fall off his horse the following year, dying from his injuries. Henrietta inherited Wimpole in 1711.
