Her 17-year-old son, Andrew called her a superwoman—perhaps her showing up every night in the first six weeks of his Broadway debut had something to do with it. At Lawrence Woodmere Academy he is the teacher of mathematics at Middle School- 5 th – 8 th grades, and Upper School- 10 th grade. He is the Advisor of the 12 th graders. Mr. Patrice Davis has teaching experience in both public and independent schools and is very excited to continue as a member of the LWA family.

In an email to Lawrence Woodmere Academy alumni, the board of trustees said there is a possibility that the nonsectarian private school in Woodmere might not reopen after the 2022-2023 school year. “In sum, a proposed sale and leaseback of the remaining LWA property may no longer be feasible and, as such, the school may not be able to reopen in September 2023,” the board stated.
