23 de set. de 2020 · Fleet Foxes’ music has never been overly heavy, but each release brings expectations. Pecknold said that he wrote some of Helplessness Blues to have new material to play on tour with Joanna Newsom .
At first I felt this album inferior to Fleet foxes - Fleet Foxes but after 2 more spins I retract that and say it might even be better. A release just as well made as the one before. Certain spots of the record are riddled with more clicks and pops but overall its not too bad of a pressing, although could certainly be better.
Helplessness Blues refutes any suggestions that Fleet Foxes are mere nostalgists. While the past looms large, the Seattle band’s searching frontman Robin Pecknold confronts the future head-on.
