  4. This combination worked well, creating three bitingly funny satires, still considered classics of the genre. Sadly, by the time the seventies ended, and the eighties began, Brooks' seemed to have forgotten the lessons he learned. Case in point: "History of the World: Part 1". It's sure not smartly written, by today's standards anyway.
