That was the original idea for the brand split. In 2001 Vince wanted to keep WCW alive as a touring show that aired on Mondays. He was willing to let WWF Monday Night Raw die and put WCW Monday Nitro in its place. But networks paid for Raw, and wanted Raw, which killed that idea. But he basically put it into place anyway.
