Argyll e Bute ( gaelico scozzese Earra-Ghaidheal agus Bòd, pronuncia IPA: [ɛrˠəˈɣɛːəlˠ̪ akəs̪ pɔːtʲ]; scots: Argyll an Buit) è una council area e area di luogotenenza della Scozia. Il centro amministrativo è Lochgilphead . Argyll e Bute risulta la seconda unità amministrativa più ampia di tutta la Scozia.
Argyll and Bute (İskoçça (Cermen dili): Argyll an Buit; İskoçça (Kelt dili): Earra-Ghàidheal agus Bò), İskoçya'nın konsey alanlarından biridir. Konsey, İskoçya'nın batısında yer almaktadır. Yüzölçümü 6.909 km² olan konseyin nüfusu 2021 yılı itibarı ile 86.260'tır. Konseyin merkezi Lochgilphead'dir.
A local government district called Argyll and Bute was formed in the Strathclyde region, including most of Argyll and the adjacent Isle of Bute (the former County of Bute was more extensive). The Ardnamurchan , Ardgour , Ballachulish , Duror, Glencoe , Kinlochleven and Morvern areas of Argyll were detached to become parts of Lochaber District, in Highland.
Argyll and Bute (majority) & Ross, Skye and Lochaber (minority) Argyll, Bute and South Lochaber is a proposed constituency of the House of Commons in the UK Parliament. [1] Further to the completion of the 2023 Periodic Review of Westminster constituencies, it will first be contested at the next general election .
