Jo Boaler (born 18 February 1964) is a British education author and Nomellini-Olivier Professor of Mathematics Education at the Stanford Graduate School of Education. Boaler is involved in promoting reform mathematics and equitable mathematics classrooms.
The low achievers did not know less but they did not use numbers flexibly – probably because they had been set on the wrong path, from an early age, of trying to memorize methods and number facts instead of interacting with numbers flexibly (Boaler, 2022). Jessica recently celebrated her 10 year anniversary as a Stanford staff member. She supports youcubed co-founder and Stanford Professor, Jo Boaler, along with general youcubed operations and event coordination. She joined the team in May of 2015 and previously supported several other Stanford Graduate School of Education faculty members.
