A Batalha de Stalingrado ocorreu entre 17 de julho de 1942 e 2 de fevereiro de 1943. Foi a maior e mais sangrenta batalha da Segunda Guerra Mundial e mudou os rumos do conflito a partir da vitória soviética. Atualmente, Stalingrado hoje chama-se Volgogrado, pois está às margens do rio Volga.
