Frederick North, 2nd Earl of Guilford, KG, PC , more often known by his courtesy title, Lord North, was Prime Minister of Great Britain from 1770 to 1782. North also had a major part in the American Revolution.
North was a younger son of Prime Minister Frederick North, 2nd Earl of Guilford (usually referred to as Lord North ). He was educated at Eton College (1775–82) and Christ Church, Oxford. In 1791, he converted to the Eastern Orthodox Church and became an ardent adherent. [1] He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society in 1794.
Leben. North war der jüngste Sohn von Premierminister Frederick North, 2.Earl of Guilford (1752 bis 1790 Lord North genannt). Er verbrachte aus gesundheitlichen Gründen einen großen Teil seiner Jugend in Kontinentaleuropa und studierte Rechtswissenschaften am Eton College und am Christ Church-College der University of Oxford.
