Charles Allston Collins (1828-1873) was an artist who was associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. His father, William Collins, was a landscape and genre painter. He stopped making art in the late 1850s to focus on writing.
Charles Allston Collins (London 25 January 1828 – 9 April 1873) was a British painter, writer, and illustrator associated with the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood. In the late 1850s, however, he abandoned art to follow his brother into a writing career.
