Three teenagers — Will (Gary Grimes), Les (Ron Howard) and Tod (Charles Martin Smith) — rescue a wounded outlaw named Harry Spikes (Lee Marvin) after finding him near their homes. They put him up in a barn, fetch him food and drink and help nurse him back to health.
