The Cool and the Crazy is part conventional JD film and part marihuana scare film. In a style I can only describe as cinéma vérité noir, the film centers around a dope peddler playing the role of a new hood in town. He rubs elbows with the fellow delinquents at school and ultimately gets them all hooked on dope.
