Emma Hamilton var den britiske søhelt lord Nelsons elskerinde. Emma Hamilton var kendt for sin skønhed og optrådte bl.a. som fremstiller af erotiske tableauer i Londons bedre kredse. I 1791 blev hun gift med den britiske gesandt i Napoli, William Hamilton (1730-1803), og øvede her indflydelse på Storbritanniens politik over for kongeriget Begge Sicilier.
