2 de jul. de 2017 · Dikutip dari Majalah Magma UGM Edisi 1/2012, Lolo Soetoro adalah putra ke-9 (dari 10 bersaudara) Martodihardjo, seorang pegawai urusan pertambangan asal Yogyakarta. Lolo berprofesi sebagai topograf dan lulusan Fakultas Geografi Universitas Gadjah Mada, yang kala itu masih bernama Jurusan Ilmu Bumi, Fakultas Sastra dan Pedagogik UGM.
Lolo Soetoro and Dunham divorced on November 5, 1980; Lolo Soetoro married Erna Kustina in 1980 and had two children, a son, Yusuf Aji Soetoro (born 1981), and daughter, Rahayu Nurmaida Soetoro (born 1987). Lolo Soetoro died, age 52, on March 2, 1987, due to liver failure.

After serving as a colonel in the Indonesian army, he went on to work for Union Oil Company in government relations.
