After becoming king he finds a way to become immortal. He uses immortality as the chance to secure peace in his city state. He then realizes that is not enough.

The casting was way off. Jacob and Rea had no chemistry at all. He's way to dull for her charisma. I couldn't. quite get into the choppy, historical shots. Over directed, over acted. Just not the best film. Granted, there are a few beautiful cinematography shots that surprised me and resonated so well.
