  3. This is Alan Clark’s view of the Conservatives from 1922 to 1997. He has a right wing toff, blimpish view which is unusual so worth reading on that account as it is representative of a certain type of Tory who made the bulk of that party during the period.Clark writes well but the research and proof reading is haphazard with not a few howlers.
