Bakersfield College has an open admission policy which permits enrollment by any high school graduate or GED holding student. 7,244 students are enrolled on a full time basis, and 19,629 attend part time. Nutrition and Dietetics professionals work with individuals, families, and communities to assess nutritional needs, develop individualized nutrition plans, and provide education on healthy eating habits. They may work in a variety of settings, such as hospitals, clinics, schools, public health agencies, and private practice, among others.
